July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Air Suction Control Solenoid Valve Test II

  1. Disconnect air suction solenoid valve 6-wire connector. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature (cooling fan comes on). Connect voltmeter positive lead to Black/Yellow wire terminal and negative lead to Pink wire terminal.
  2. Turn ignition off. Restart engine. Check voltmeter reading 15 seconds after restarting engine (engine at idle). If voltage is NOT present, replace solenoid valve. If voltage is present, check for short in Pink wire between solenoid valve and ECU terminal B1. If wire is okay, substitute a known good ECU and retest. If problem goes away, replace original ECU.
