Removal (Legend & Vigor)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove switches from lower dashboard panel. Remove lower dashboard panel. Disconnect wiring harness connectors as necessary. Remove steering column mounting bolts/nuts. Lower steering column assembly.
  2. Grind slot into shear bolt. Using a screwdriver, remove shear bolt. Turn ignition switch to "1" position. Push in on steering lock retaining pin. Remove steering lock assembly.
