Ignition Coil Power Source

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1991 Acura Legend and 1991 Acura Integra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. On Integra, remove distributor cap. On all models, disconnect ignition coil primary leads. Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, check voltage between ground and Black/Yellow wire terminal of ignition coil harness (six coils on Legend). See Figure and Figure .
  2. Ensure battery voltage exists. If battery voltage does not exist, check for open in Black/Yellow wire between ignition coil and ignition switch. A radio noise condenser is used on the Black/Yellow wire. If condenser is shorted, power supply will be interrupted and vehicle will not start.
