Code 13: Barometric (BARO) Sensor

NOTE: Barometric sensor is built into ECM. Circuit testing is not required.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove ACG fuse (No. 15, 7.5-amp) from underdash fuse box for 10 seconds to reset ECM. Check ECM for fault codes. If Code 13 is not present, problem is intermittent. Check for poor connections at ECM connector. Test drive vehicle and check again.
  2. On models without TCS, go to step 4). On models with TCS, if Code 13 is still on, turn ignition off. Attach ECM Test Harness (07LAJ-PT3010A ) to main wiring harness, leaving ECM disconnected. See Figure . Disconnect 26-pin connector from the TCS control unit.
  3. Check continuity between D5 and body ground. If continuity is present, repair short in Orange/Red wire between ECM connector terminal D5 and TCS control unit. If continuity is not present, install a know good TCS control unit and retest for Code 13. If Code 13 is not present, replace TCS control unit.
  4. If Code 13 is present, replace ECM and retest.
