Fuel Pump Relay

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Acura Legend. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove fuel pump main relay located under left side of dash. Connect battery voltage to terminal No. 4, and ground terminal No. 8 of relay. See Fig 1.
  2. Check continuity between relay terminals No. 5 and 7. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace relay.
  3. Connect battery positive to relay terminal No. 6, and ground terminal No. 2. Check continuity between relay terminals No. 1 and 3. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace relay.
  4. Connect battery positive to relay terminal No. 3, and ground terminal No. 8. Check continuity between relay terminals No. 5 and 7. Continuity should exist. If continuity does not exist, replace relay.
