July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Charging System Light Does Not Come On

  1. Turn off ignition. Check fuse No. 2 (15A) in dash fuse box. See Figure .Replace fuse if blown. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect 4-P connector from alternator. See Figure .Turn on ignition, with engine off.
  3. Check for voltage at YEL wire at the IG terminal of the 4-P connector.
  4. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in YEL wire. If battery voltage is present, ground WHT/BLU wire at L terminal of the 4-P connector. Go to next step.
  5. If charging system light comes on, perform ALTERNATOR & REGULATOR TEST  . If charging system light does NOT come on, check for blown charging system light bulb. If bulb is okay, repair open in WHT/BLU wire.
