Anti-Theft System Function Test
- Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position and remove key. Close all doors, hood and trunk (all switches should be off). Using key, lock either front door (door lock knob and door key cylinder switches should be off). Security alarm system indicator light should begin flashing a pre-armed signal (one second on and one second off). If indicator light flashes pre-armed signal for 15 seconds, go to next step. If indicator light does not flash pre-armed signal, system is disarmed. Ensure all door lock knob, door, trunk and/or panic button switches are not on and are operating properly. - After 15 seconds an armed signal should flash (0.2 second on and 2.4 seconds off). Horns will sound and external lights will flash if system is activated. To disarm anti-theft system, unlock either front door using key or remote transmitter. Security alarm system indicator light should stop flashing.
