Retrieving DTCs Using Service Check Connector

  1. The blinking of the MIL with the SCS service connector connected will also indicate DTCs. The MIL can indicate any number of simultaneous component problems by blinking separate codes, one after another.
  2. Connect the 2-pin SCS service connector (07PAZ-0010100) to the Service Check Connetor. See Figure . Turn the ignition switch on.
  3. NOTE: If the SCS service connector is connected and there are no DTCs stored in the ECM, the MIL will stay on when the ignition switch is turned on.
  4. Problem codes 1 through 9 are indicated by individual short blinks. Problem codes 10 and up are indicated by a series of long and short blinks. The number of long blinks indicates the first digit and the number of short blinks indicates the second digit. See Figure .
