Fuel Pressure Regulator: Testing

  1. Attach the Fuel Pressure Gauge (07406-0040002), or equivalent to the service port of the fuel filter. See Fig 1 .
  2. Pressure should be 47-53 psi (323-363 kPa) with the regulator vacuum hose disconnected and pinched.
  3. Reconnect the vacuum hose to the pressure regulator.
  4. Check that the fuel pressure rises when the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator is disconnected again.
  5. If the fuel pressure does not rise, replace the fuel pressure regulator.
