Door Multiplex Control Unit
- Remove driver's door trim panel enough to gain access to door multiplex control unit connector. Turn ignition off. Disconnect door multiplex control unit Blue 20-pin connector. See Fig 1. Ensure connector terminals are okay and making proper contact. Repair connector terminals as necessary and retest system. If connector terminals are okay, go to next step.
- Using a voltmeter, probe between door multiplex control unit Blue 20-pin connector terminal No. 1 (White/Yellow wire) and ground. See Fig 1. See DOOR MULTIPLEX CONTROL UNIT CONNECTOR TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION table. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check fuse No. 56 (7.5-amp), located in fuse/relay box under instrument panel. If fuse is okay, check for open in White/Yellow wire.
- Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, probe between door multiplex control unit Blue 20-pin connector terminal No. 2 (Green/White wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check fuse No. 17 (20-amp), located in fuse/relay box under instrument panel. If fuse is okay, check for open in Green/White wire.
- Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, probe between ground and door multiplex control unit Blue 20-pin connector terminals No. 12 (Black wire) and No. 19 (Black wire). If continuity does not exist, check for an open in Black wire and/or bad ground connection. If wires and ground connections are okay, replace power window master switch.
