Driver's Door Lock Actuator Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Acura 3.0CL and 1998 Acura 2.3CL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove driver's door trim panel. Disconnect 6-pin connector from driver's door lock actuator. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between indicated terminals with switch in specified position. Refer to the DRIVER'S DOOR ACTUATOR CONTINUITY TEST  table. See Fig 1 . If continuity is not as specified, replace switch.
  2. Using jumper wire, apply battery voltage to driver's door lock actuator terminal No. 5. Using another jumper wire, connect terminal No. 4 to ground. Observe actuator operation. Reverse jumper wire connections. Replace actuator if it does not move between locked and unlocked positions.
