Trunk Latch Switch Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Acura 3.0CL and 1998 Acura 2.3CL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Open trunk lid and remove trunk lid inner trim, if necessary. Disconnect trunk latch 4-pin connector. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between indicated trunk latch switch connector terminals with switch in specified position. See Figure . If continuity is not as specified, replace trunk latch switch.
  2. Using jumper wire, apply battery voltage to trunk lock actuator terminal No. 4. See Figure . Using another jumper wire, connect terminal No. 1 to ground. Observe actuator operation. Replace actuator if it does not move to unlocked position.
