Multiplex Control Unit Input Tests: 3.2TL
- Remove driver's multiplex control unit from driver's underdash fuse/relay box. Disconnect control unit connectors. Inspect connectors and terminals. Check for bent, loose, or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary and recheck system operation. If connectors and terminals are okay, go to next step.
- With driver's multiplex control unit disconnected, perform driver's underdash fuse/relay box socket and driver's multiplex control unit input tests. See Fig 1
. Repair as necessary and recheck system operation. If driver's multiplex control unit inputs are okay, go to next step.
- Remove passenger's underdash fuse/relay box. Remove passenger's multiplex control unit from underdash fuse/relay box. Inspect connectors and terminals. Check for bent, loose, or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary and recheck system operation. If connectors and terminals are okay, go to next step.
- With passenger's multiplex control unit disconnected, perform tests as specified at passenger's underdash fuse/relay box sockets and multiplex control unit connector. See Fig 2
. If any problem is found, find and correct cause and recheck system operation. If all tests prove okay, replace passenger's multiplex control unit and recheck system operation.
