Gearshift Position Switch: 3.2TL
Raise vehicle. Disconnect gearshift position switch connector. Use a DVOM and check for continuity between specified terminals while moving gearshift lever to specified positions. See GEARSHIFT POSITION SWITCH TEST (3.2TL) table. See Fig 1 . If switch tests okay, test is complete. If switch does not indicate continuity in any position, adjust switch and retest. See GEARSHIFT POSITION SWITCH under ADJUSTMENTS. If one or more terminals do not indicate continuity, replace switch. See GEARSHIFT POSITION SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
