Confirming Sleep Mode Operation

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove passenger's multiplex control unit. Passenger's multiplex control unit is located behind right kick panel. Remove driver's underdash fuse/relay box located under instrument panel. See DRIVER'S UNDERDASH FUSE/RELAY BOX  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Check for voltage at driver's and passenger's multiplex control unit wake-up communication line. Backprobing, check for voltage between ground and passenger's multiplex control unit Gray 26-pin connector "A" terminal No. 10 (Pink/Blue wire) and driver's multiplex control unit Gray 26-pin connector "B" terminal No. 10 (Pink/Blue wire), individually. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Go to next step.
  3. When system shifts to sleep mode, battery voltage should exists at driver's and passenger's multiplex control unit wake-up communication line. Also when system shifts to sleep mode, parasitic draw at battery should change from about 100 milliamps to less than 100 milliamps.
