Power Steering Speed Sensor Replacement

  1. On vehicles equipped with the navigation system, disconnect the VSS connector (A) from the power steering speed sensor (B). Remove the sensor mounting bolt (C), and remove the power steering speed sensor.

  2. Disconnect the sensor inlet hose (D) and sensor outlet hose (E), and plug the hose ends.
  3. Install the power steering speed sensor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items;
    • Fill the reservoir to the upper level line. See FLUID REPLACEMENT  .
    • Start the engine and run it at first idle, then turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock several times to bleed air from the system.
