Cruise Control Systems: Operation

Cruise control main switch is energized when ignition switch is in ON or START position. Cruise control unit is energized when cruise control main switch is in ON position. Cruise control system maintains speeds greater than 25 MPH. To set, press SET switch at desired speed. Instrument panel indicator light will come on. Pressing cruise control main switch to off will cancel cruise control system operation and erase vehicle speed from memory.

If system is disengaged temporarily by brake switch, clutch switch or A/T gear position switch, press RESUME switch. Pressing RESUME switch will automatically return vehicle to previously set speed.

Pressing and holding RESUME switch will gradually increase vehicle speed without having to press accelerator pedal. When RESUME switch is released, system is reprogrammed for new speed.

For gradual deceleration without pressing brake pedal, press and hold SET switch until desired speed is reached. When desired speed is reached, release SET switch.
