Removal & Installation

VARIABLE VALVE TIMING & LIFT ELECTRONIC CONTROL (VTEC) solenoid valve is located at rear of cylinder head.

1. Disconnect VTEC solenoid valve 2-pin harness connector.
2. Remove bolts holding cover and VTEC solenoid valve.
3. Inspect filter behind VTEC solenoid valve and replace if necessary.
4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten valve to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . If VTEC solenoid valve filter was replaced, change engine oil and filter.
