Service Information

To stretch battery life, many remote transmitters (we're talking about the ones used for controlling garage doors, lighting, or security gates-especially the ones you keep in your pocket) broadcast their codes for just 3 to 10 seconds when you push and hold their transmit button. Problem is, that's often not enough time for the HomeLink® transceiver to learn the code.

If the transceiver is having a tough time learning that transmitter's code, try pushing the transmit button again and again. This should give it enough time to learn the code.
