Removal & Installation (MDX, 3.2CL & 3.2TL)

VTEC solenoid valve is located at oil pump/oil filter adapter assembly.

  1. Disconnect VTEC solenoid valve 1-pin harness connector.
  2. Remove VTEC solenoid valve/oil filter assembly attaching bolts.
  3. Inspect filter behind VTEC solenoid valve and replace if necessary.
  4. To install reverse removal procedure. Use new "O" ring. Tighten valve to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . If VTEC solenoid valve filter was replaced, change engine oil and filter.
