Removal & Installation (RSX)

VTEC solenoid valve is located at rear of cylinder head.

  1. Disconnect VTEC solenoid valve 2-pin harness connector.
  2. Remove bolts holding cover and VTEC solenoid valve.
  3. Inspect filter behind VTEC solenoid valve and replace if necessary.
  4. To install reverse removal procedure. Use new gasket. Tighten valve to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . If VTEC solenoid valve filter was replaced, change engine oil and filter.
