Checking Fluid Levels

NOTE: NOTE: Keep all foreign particles out of the transaxle.
  1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on).
  2. Park the vehicle on the level ground. Turn off the engine.
  3. Remove the dipstick (Yellow loop) "A" from the transaxle, and wipe it with a clean cloth. See Fig 1 .
  4. Insert the dipstick into the transaxle.
  5. Remove the dipstick and check the fluid level. It should be between the upper mark "B" and lower mark "C". See Fig 2 .
  6. If the level is below the lower mark, pour the recommended fluid into the filler hole "A" to bring it to the upper mark. See RECOMMENDED FLUID  .
  7. Install the ATF filler bolt "B" with a new sealing washer "C". See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . See Fig 3 .
  8. Insert the dipstick back into the transaxle.
