Rocker Arm Oil Control Solenoid (VTEC Solenoid Valve) Inspection

Disconnect the rocker arm oil control solenoid (VTEC solenoid valve) 2P connector.
Measure resistance between rocker arm oil control solenoid (VTEC solenoid valve) 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.

If the resistance is within specifications, remove the cover (A), then remove the rocker arm oil control solenoid (VTEC solenoid valve) assembly (B) from the cylinder head, and check the rocker arm oil control solenoid (VTEC solenoid valve) filter (C) for clogging. If it is clogged, replace the solenoid valve filter, the engine oil filter, and the engine oil.
