Positive Crankcase Ventilation System

NOTE: For 2004 models, see DTC P2279 under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - NSX & NSX-T article.
  1. Check PCV hoses and connections for leaks and clogging.
  2. Start engine. With engine at idle, check for a clicking sound from PCV valve when hose between PCV valve and intake manifold is lightly pinched, using fingers or pliers.
  3. If there is no clicking sound, check PCV valve grommet for cracks or damage. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace PCV valve.
