Voice Control Switch Test

Remove the driver's airbag assembly (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
Remove the 20P connector from the cable reel.

Measure the resistance between the No. 10 and No. 18 terminals in each switch position according to the table.

RESISTANCE CHART

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the remote switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ), and replace the voice control switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
Use a diode tester between the terminals in each switch position as shown.

If the diode test is not as specified, replace the remote switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ), and replace the voice control switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
