Trunk Lid Latch Replacement

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to scratch the body.
  1. Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (A) and trunk lid latch switch connector (B). Take care not to kink the opener cable.
  2. Remove the trunk lid trim (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TRUNK LID ).

  3. Remove the bolts from the trunk lid latch (C), then remove the latch.
  4. Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Make sure the connector is plugged in properly and the opener cable is connected properly.
    • Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely.
