Driver's Under-dash Fuse/Relay Box (MICU) Removal/Installation: Removal

- Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure (see BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION )
- Remove these items
- Driver's dashboard trim (see DRIVER'S DASHBOARD TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Driver's switch panel (see DRIVER'S SWITCH PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Driver's dashboard undercover (see DRIVER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Driver's kick panel (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - DOOR AREAS )
- Loosen the bolt (A), then remove the bolt (B) and the bracket (C) from dashboard/steering hanger beam
- USA models with keyless access system and Canada models without keyless access system Remove the screws and cover (A) from the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
- Remove the mounting bolt, release the tab (B), and pull the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box away from the body
- Disconnect the connectors from the fuse side of the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
- Disconnect the connectors from the back side of the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box, then remove the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
- Carefully remove the relays using the relay puller (see POWER RELAY TEST ) by prying under the base of the relay
NOTE:
Do not use pliers. Pliers will damage the relays, which could cause the engine to stall or not start
