How to Clear DTCs

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Acura TL, 2010 Acura TL, and 2009 Acura TL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. With the ignition switch in LOCK (0), or the engine start/stop button in select the OFF mode, connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) under the driver's side of the dashboard
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode
  3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the EPS control unit If it doesn't troubleshoot the DLC circuit (see DLC CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING )
  4. Clear the DTC(s) by following the screen prompts on the HDS
  5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode
