SH-AWD Control Unit Initialization

Whenever the SH-AWD control unit is replaced, it must initialized.

1. With the ignition switch to LOCK (0), connect the HDS to the 16P DLC (A) behind the driver's dashboard lower cover.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

3. Make sure the HDS communicates with vehicle and the SH-AWD control unit. If it doesn't troubleshoot the DLC circuit. Testing and Inspection

4. From the mode menu, select MISCELLANEOUS TEST, then select INITIALIZATION with the HDS and follow the screen prompts.
