DTC 21: Yaw Rate-Acceleration Sensor Error; DTC 22: Yaw Rate-Acceleration Sensor Center Position Revision Value Error
NOTE:
If DTC 112 is stored at the same time as DTC 21, troubleshoot DTC 112 first, then recheck for DTC 21 or DTC 22.
- Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS (see
GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION
).
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -Troubleshoot the indicated VSA system DTC(s).
NO -Go to step 2.
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS ).
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), then wait for 10 seconds.
- Watch the ACC indicator.
Does the ACC indicator (amber) come on?
YES -Go to step 5.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS
).
Is DTC 21 or DTC 22 indicated?
YES -Go to step 6.
NO -Troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s).
- With the vehicle parked on level ground, check the YAW RATE SENSOR with the HDS.
Is about 2.5 Vindicated?
YES -The yaw rate-acceleration sensor signal is OK, check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the ACC unit (see ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
NO -Go to the VSA system troubleshooting (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION ).
