VSA Modulator-Control Unit Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  2. Remove the right upper fender trim (see UPPER FENDER TRIM REPLACEMENT ).
  3. Remove the A/C line mounting bolt (A).

  4. Disconnect the VSA modulator-control unit 36P connector (A) by pushing the lock (B) and pulling up the lever (C); the connector disconnects itself.

  5. Remove the wire harness clips (D).
  6. Disconnect the 10 mm brake lines (A) and the 12 mm brake lines (B) from the VSA modulator-control unit (C).

  7. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir (A) from the power steering fluid reservoir bracket (B).

  8. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir bracket from the body.
  9. Remove the clip (A), then remove the upper portion of the washer reservoir (B)

  10. Remove the flange bolts (C), then remove the VSA modulator-control unit D) with the bracket (E) from the body.
  11. Remove the VSA modulator-control unit (A) from the bracket (B).
