Self-Diagnostic Function: Notes

The audio system has a self-diagnostic function.

NOTE:

Not all self-diagnostic functions appear on all models.
They may be other self-diagnostic functions that are for factory use only.
The self diagnostic function does not find every problem with the audio system. Check any official Honda service website for more information about the audio system.

How to Use the Audio System Self-diagnostic Function

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
Enter the anti-theft code.
Push, and hold the No. 1 and No. 6 buttons. While holding the buttons, push the PWR knob to on. Release the buttons, and the self-diagnostic function begins.
The word DIAG appears on the subdisplay.

How to exit the self-diagnosis mode

Turn the audio system off or the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

How to Obtain the Audio Unit Serial Number and Retrieving the Anti-theft Code with the iN

NOTE: This procedure can only when the power has been disconnected from the audio unit, and the audio unit displays CODE when the audio unit is turned on.

With the audio unit switched off, push and hold the preset buttons No. 1, No. 6, and the PWR knob.

The audio unit displays the letter U with the first four digits of the serial number (example U1234).

The display then changes and displays the letter L and the last four digits of the serial number (example L5678).

Use all eight digits as the serial number when using the interactive network (iN) to get the 4 digit anti-theft code.
