Error code: XM NO SIGNAL or XM LOADING is displayed (without navigation)

NOTE:
  • Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
  • Check the connectors for poor connection or loose terminals.
  • Check XM radio reception in an open area. Poor reception/interference can be caused by tall buildings, mountains, or high-voltage power lines.
  1. Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  3. Do the XM Self-Diagnosis (see XM SELF-DIAGNOSIS  ).

    Are there other XM error codes displayed? 

    YES  -Refer to SOLUTION FOR TROUBLESHOOTING  .

    NO  -Go to step 4.

  4. Turn on the audio unit, and select XM radio.

    Does the XM radio receive a signal? 

    YES  -Reception interference, the system is OK at this time.

    NO  -Go to step 5.

  5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  6. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the XM antenna 2P connector and XM receiver connector B (2P).

    Are the connections or terminals OK? 

    YES  -Go to step 7.

    NO  -Repair poor connections or loose terminals, and recheck the XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored, go to step 7.

  7. Substitute a known-good XM antenna (see XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT  ), and recheck.

    Does the XM radio receive a signal? 

    YES  -Replace the original XM antenna (see XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT  ).

    NO  -Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead, and recheck. If the XM radio receives a signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the XM radio does not receive a signal, replace the XM receiver (see XM RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ).
