Error Codes
The audio system can display a few error codes when some problems are detected with the audio disc player, the audio disc, the XM radio, the USB, or the anti-theft code. This is not a complete list of audio error codes. Refer to SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING , or go to any official Honda service website for more service information.
CD ERROR CODES
| Error Code Displayed | Possible Cause | Solution |

| BAD DISC>PLEASE CHECK> OWNER'S MANUAL>PUSH EJECT | There is a problem with the disc player. A common problem is paper disc labels coming off the disc while in the player. | Try to eject the disc and try another one. If there is still a problem, replace the audio-navigation unit (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ), or the audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). |
| HEAT ERROR | Disc player is hot. This can happen if the vehicle is parked out in the hot sun all day. | Park the vehicle in a cooler place for a while and try the disc player again. If the error code is still present, try another disc. If the error code is still present, replace the audio-navigation unit (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ), or the audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). |
| UNPLAYABLE FILE | Track/File format not supported. | Current track is skipped. The next supported track or file plays automatically.

| MECH ERROR |

Press the EJECT button and hold it for 5 seconds. If the CD does not eject, try again. If the CD still won't eject, replace the audio-navigation unit (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ), or the audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). |
USB ERROR CODES
| Error Code Displayed | Possible Cause | Solution |

| FILE ERROR | The audio unit cannot read the file(s). | Check the files in the USB device. There is a possibility that the files have been damaged or are not supported. |
| MEDIA ERROR UNSUPPORTED | Unsupported USB device is connected. | Connect the applicable USB device (see Owner's Manual). |
| USB LOADING | Data is being loaded from the USB device. | Check the files in the USB device. There is a possibility that the files have been damaged, or are not supported. |
| USB NO SONG | There are no files or files that are not supported on the USB device. | Check the files in the USB device. There is a possibility that the files have been damaged, or are not supported. |
| USB NO DATA | USB device is not connected. | If the code appears when the USB devices is connected, go to USB device does not function troubleshooting:

AUDIO UNIT ERROR CODES
| Error Code Displayed | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| CODE ERROR 1 | Anti-theft code mismatch (1st try). | Enter the correct anti-theft code. |
| CODE ERROR E | Anti-theft code mismatch (10th try). | Remove the No. 15 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box, then reinsert it. You will have 10 more tries to enter the correct anti-theft code. |
XM ERROR CODES
| Error Code Displayed | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| LOADING | XM radio is acquiring audio or program information. | Wait until the radio receives the information. |
| OFF AIR | XM channel not in service. | Try another XM channel. |
| NO SIGNAL | Loss of signal. | Both terrestrial and satellite antennas have lost the signal. Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon. |
| UPDATING | XM radio is receiving information update from the network. | This message disappears once the update finishes. |
| CHECK ANTENNA | XM antenna error. | Repair an open or a short in the satellite antenna. Substitute a known-good XM antenna (see XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT ), and recheck. If the error is gone, replace the original XM antenna. If the error is still present, replace the antenna lead. |
| ANTENNA ERROR | ||
| -- | No signal from XM. | Check a known-good vehicle with XM radio. If the known-good vehicle has the same symptoms, contact XM Radio at 800-852-9696. |
