Speaker Check Mode

NOTE:
  • Not all self-diagnostic functions appear on all models.
  • There may be other self-diagnostic functions that are for factory use only.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  2. Make sure the audio system is turned off.
  3. Push and hold the preset No. 1 and No. 3 buttons.
  4. While holding the buttons, push the VOLUME/POWER knob to on.
  5. Release the buttons and the speaker check mode begins. A tone should sound from one speaker.
  6. Each time you press the SKIP button, the test moves to the next speaker in the order listed in the table.
    NOTE: Adjust the volume level to a comfortable level.

    Display Specifications 

    (Skip +) is pressed: (1)→(2)→(3)→(4)→(5)→(6)→(7)

    (Skip -) is pressed: (1)→(7)→(6)→(5)→(4)→(3)→(2)

      Speaker Displayed Segments Remarks
    (1) Driver's door speaker and left tweeter SPK FR-L You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (2) Front center speaker SPK CNT You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (3) Front passenger's door speaker and right tweeter SPK FR-R You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (4) Right rear door speaker(1) and right rear speaker SPK RR-R You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (5) Subwoofer SPK SUBW You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (6) Left rear door speaker(1) and left rear speaker SPK RR-L You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (7) All speakers SPK ALL
    • You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    • The subwoofer does not sound a tone
    (1) With navigation
  7. The speaker check mode ends when you turn the audio system off or turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
