Error code: XM NO SIGNAL or XM LOADING is displayed (without navigation)
- Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
- Check XM radio reception in an open area. Poor reception/interference can be caused by tall buildings, mountains, or high-voltage power lines.
- Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
- Do the XM Self-Diagnosis (see XM SELF-DIAGNOSIS
).
Are there XM error codes displayed?
YES -Refer to SOLUTION FOR TROUBLESHOOTING (see ).
NO -Go to step 4.
- Turn on the audio unit, and press the XM button to select the XM radio.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -Reception interference operation is normal.
NO -Go to step 5.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
- Check the AM/FM/XM antenna 2P connector and XM receiver connector B (2P).
Are the connectors connected?
YES -Go to step 7.
NO -Reconnect the AM/FM/XM antenna 2P connector and XM receiver connector B (2P), and recheck the XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored, go to step 7.
- Substitute a known-good AM/FM/XM antenna (see AM/FM/XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT
).
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -Replace the original AM/FM/XM antenna (see AM/FM/XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT ).
NO -Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead, and recheck. If the XM receiver receives signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the XM receiver does not receive a signal, replace the XM receiver (see XM RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
