Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Eject the disc before removing the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
- If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
- If the audio-navigation unit is replaced or disconnected, the Map Matching must be done (see MAP MATCHING ).
- Make sure you have the 5-digit anti-theft code.
- Remove these items:
- Driver's inner dashboard trim (see DRIVER'S OUTER DASHBOARD TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Passenger's dashboard trim (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD TRIM PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Center console panel (see CENTER CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Audio-navigation and HVAC switch panel (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION AND HVAC SWITCH PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Carefully remove the bolts (A) and bolts (B), then disconnect the connector (C), and pull the audio-navigation unit (D) out.
- Disconnect the audio-navigation unit connectors, and detach the clip (E).
- Remove the bolts (A) and brackets (B).
- Remove the self-tapping screws (A) and the mounting screws (B), then disconnect the connector (C), and remove the front panel (D) and (E) from the audio-navigation unit (F).
- Remove the screws and audio-navigation unit.NOTE: If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, remove the HDD (see HDD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Install the audio-navigation unit in the reverse order of removal.NOTE: Check any official Honda service website for more service information about patches for the navigation system. Apply any prescribed patches to the new audio-navigation unit.
- Enter the new 5-digit anti-theft code.
- Park the vehicle outside, and do the GPS Initialization (see GPS INITIALIZATION ).
- Give the new navigation anti-theft code to the client.
