Speaker Check Mode: Notes

NOTE:
  • Not all self-diagnostic functions appear on all models.
  • There may be other self-diagnostic functions that are for factory use only.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode. Make sure the audio system is turned off.
  2. Push and hold the preset No. 1 and No. 3 buttons.
  3. While holding the buttons, push the VOLUME/POWER knob to on.
  4. Release the buttons and the speaker check mode begins. A tone should sound from one speaker.
  5. Each time you press the SKIP button, the test moves to the next speaker in the order listed in the table.
    NOTE: Adjust the volume level to a comfortable level.

    Display Specifications 

    (→) is pressed: (1)→(2)→(3)→(4)→(5)→(6)→(7)

    (←) is pressed: (1)→(7)→(6)→(5)→(4)→(3)→(2)

      Speaker Displayed Segments Remarks
    (1) Driver's door speaker and left tweeter SPKR FR-L(1) SPK FR-L(2) You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (2) Front center speaker SPKR CENTER(1) SPK CTR(2) You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (3) Front passenger's door speaker and right tweeter SPKR FR-R(1) SPK FR-R(2) You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (4) Right rear door speaker and right satellite speaker(1) SPKR RR-R(1) SPK RR-R(2) You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (5) Subwoofer SPKR SUBWOOFER(1) SPK SUBW(2) You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (6) Left rear door speaker and left satellite speaker(1) SPKR RR-L(1) SPK RR-L(2) You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (7) All speakers SPKR ALL(1) SPK ALL(2) You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (1) With navigation
    (2) Without navigation
    NOTE: Any other diagnostic screens are for factory use only.
  6. To end the speaker check mode, turn the audio system off, or turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
