Unit Check (Quick Check)
Some of the tests and screens that are displayed under the Unit Check are different from the more detailed checks listed under other menu options.
To start the test, select the item you want to check.

USA and Canada models
Except USA and Canada models
Display
This diagnosis does additional checks on the GA-Net bus between the audio-navigation unit and the navigation display unit. This test also checks the internal electronic functions.
- If Connection shows NG, Check for hard error codes .
- If ROM or RAM is NG, replace the navigation display unit .
- The version represents the software version in the display.
Hard Key
This diagnosis tests the interface dial, the navigation buttons that surround it, and the audio remote switch. For this model, the interface dial and buttons use the serial bus for communications.
To complete the each test, push each button on the audio remote-HFL switch, audio-navigation switch panel, and move the interface dial to each indicated position. As each function is tested, the corresponding button on the display should highlight. To exit, press in and hold the interface dial knob.
You cannot use the onscreen return button to exit this function.

Sub Display
This diagnosis checks the connection between the audio-navigation switch panel and the audio-navigation unit. If Connection shows NG, check for hard error codes .
Smart Card
If the remotes are linked to the vehicle, you can check the remote condition on this screen.
Aircon
This diagnosis detects if the vehicle is in ON mode using information provided over the F-CAN bus. Then tests the climate signal via the B-CAN bus between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit. Make sure the engine is running for this test.
- If Ignition shows ON and Connection shows NG, check for hard error codes .
- If Ignition shows OFF, check for F-CAN bus lines.
Rear Camera
- This diagnosis checks whether the rearview camera is connected to the navigation display unit.
- If Connection shows NG, check for hard error codes .
USB Memory Information
This diagnosis displays the USB memory status that is connected to the audio-navigation unit.
If the USB memory is connected to the USB port, the screen displays the connection status (Inserted/Not Inserted), the USB memory size, and the Product ID, Vender ID.
When you select Files, the USB memory file information is displayed.
Navi ECU
This diagnosis looks for problems in the navigation ECU. When you start this diagnosis, the audio-navigation unit may freeze or delay up to a minute while the diagnosis runs.
- D-RAM: Displays the result of the access to the DRAM (OK/NG). If NG, replace the audio-navigation unit.
- Program Version: Displays the version of the navigation software.
- Model: Displays the vehicle's model name. For this model, the field should begin with TX4.
- Serial No. : Displays the audio-navigation unit serial number. That should be the same as the serial number found on the upper side of the audio-navigation unit.
- Flash: Displays the result of the access to the flash memory (OK/NG). If NG, replace the audio-navigation unit .
HFT (HFL)
This diagnosis checks first whether the HandsFreeLink control unit is connecting to the audio-navigation unit via the GA-Net.
- If GA-NET shows NG, go to HFL does not respond (with navigation) troubleshooting - Refer to: HandsFreeLink System Symptom Troubleshooting - HFL does not respond(With navigation) (2013-15) .
- If DESIP (USA models) shows NG, check for hard error codes .
- HFL Part Number: Displays the HandsFreeLink control unit parts number.
- HFL S/W Version: Displays the HandsFreeLink control unit software version.
- If HFL shows HFL DTCs (B1775, B1776, B1779, B1780, and/or B1792) and GA-NET shows OK, go to indicated HFL DTC troubleshooting.
GPS
This diagnosis tests the GPS antenna connection and the GPS receiver condition.
- If Antenna or GPS Receiver shows NG, check for hard error codes .
- Select information to see the GPS satellite details (see GPS Information).
Radio
This diagnosis checks the internal radio tuner and the internal CD/DVD player status.
- If Connection shows NG, replace the audio-navigation unit .
- Electric Field Intensity: Displays radio reception sensitivity (dBuV).
- CD/DVD Mech. Version: Displays the version of the internal CD/DVD player.
XM (USA and Canada models)
This diagnosis checks the GA-Net bus between the audio-navigation unit and the XM receiver.
If Connection shows NG, the connection may be open or short between the XM receiver and the audio-navigation unit. Check for hard error codes .
