DTC U0155: F-CAN Malfunction (PCM-Gauge Control Module) (A/T System) (2013-18)
Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot with the HDS, and review the General Troubleshooting Information - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (2013-15), or How to Troubleshoot the A/T System (2013-15), or How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (2016-18), or How to Troubleshoot the A/T System (2016-18) .

DTC (A/T)
- PGM-FI system DTC check:
Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
Clear DTC
- 3. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs in the PGM-FI system with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame U0155 F-CAN Malfunction (PCM-Gauge Control Module) Is DTC U0155 indicated in the PGM-FI system?
YES
Go to the troubleshooting for DTC U0155 in the PGM-FI system - Refer to: DTC Troubleshooting: U0155(PGM-FI System) (2013-18), or DTC Troubleshooting: U0155(A/T System) (2013-18), or DTC Troubleshooting: U0104, U0114, U0122, U0131, U0155, U1101, U129E (2016-18) .
NO
Go to step 2.
- Problem verification:
Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs in the A/T system with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame U0155 F-CAN Malfunction (PCM-Gauge Control Module) Is DTC U0155 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software , or substitute a known-good PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (2013-15), or PCM Removal and Installation (2016-18) , then do the repair verification.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Repair verification (OBD STATUS check):
- 1. Start the engine, and wait for at least 2 minutes.
- 2. Monitor the OBD STATUS for U0155 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
DTC Description OBD Status U0155 F-CAN Malfunction (PCM-Gauge Control Module) DTC (A/T)
Does the HDS indicate PASSED, FAILED, or NOT COMPLETED?
PASSED
Troubleshooting is complete. If the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (2013-15), or PCM Removal and Installation (2016-18) . Check for other DTC after this troubleshooting. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs were indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
FAILED
Troubleshooting is incomplete. Check for poor connections and loose terminals between the gauge control module and the PCM, then go to step 1 and recheck. If the PCM was updated, substitute a known-good PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (2013-15), or PCM Removal and Installation (2016-18) , and check the OBD STATUS again.
NOT COMPLETED
Repair verification is incomplete. Meet the test condition, and check the OBD STATUS again.
