Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position Clear: Procedure

NOTE:

The steering angle sensor neutral position must be cleared whenever the steering joint, the steering wheel, or the steering angle sensor is removed or if the front toe is adjusted.

  1. HDS DLC - Connect

    1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.

    2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle. If it does not communicate, go to the DLC circuit troubleshooting - Refer to: DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (Without CAN Gateway) (2016) , or DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (With CAN Gateway) (2016) , or DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (2014 2015) , or DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (2019 2020) , or DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (2017 2018, With CAN Gateway) , or DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (2017 2018, Without CAN Gateway) .

  2. Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position - Clear
    1. Select EPS ADJUSTMENT, then select EPS STEERING ANGLE SENSOR VALUE CLEAR and follow the screen prompts on the HDS.
