DTC P061B: Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance (A/T)
NOTE:
- Before you troubleshoot, review the General Troubleshooting Information .
- This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.

DTC (A/T)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Raise the vehicle on a lift. Make sure it is securely supported, and allow all four wheels to rotate freely.
- 4. Start the engine, disable the VSA by pressing the VSA OFF button.
NOTE:
- Enter the VSA maintenance mode in case of the vehicle speed above 31 mph (50 km/h).
- Do not put on the brake hard when working on a running vehicle. It may cause some damage to the drive-line.
- 5. Run the vehicle with the shift lever in D position/mode under the same conditions as those indicated by the freeze data.
- 6. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame P061B Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance Is DTC P061B indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Update the TCM if it does not have the latest software , or substitute a known-good TCM , then recheck. If this DTC goes away and the TCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If this DTC goes away and the TCM was substituted, replace the original TCM .
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections and loose terminals at the TCM. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
