Intake Manifold Removal and Installation: Installation
NOTE:
Refer to the Exploded View if needed during this procedure.
- Intake Manifold Base - Install

1. Install the intake manifold base. Tighten the bolts/nuts in three steps; tighten the bolts/nuts until the bolts/nuts sit on the intake manifold base, tighten the bolts/nuts until the gasket is compressed, tighten the bolts/nuts to specified torque. NOTE: Always use a new intake manifold base gasket. - Intake Manifold - Install

1. Install the intake manifold. Tighten the bolts/nuts in three steps; tighten the bolts/nuts until the bolts/nuts sit on the intake manifold, tighten the bolts/nuts until the gasket is compressed, tighten the bolts/nuts to specified torque. NOTE: Always use a new intake manifold gasket. - Upper Cover - Install

1. Install the upper cover. Tighten the bolts/nuts in three steps; tighten the bolts/nuts until the bolts/nuts sit on the upper cover, tighten the bolts/nuts until the gasket is compressed, tighten the bolts/nuts to specified torque. NOTE: Always use a new gasket. - PCV Hose and Brake Booster Vacuum Hose - Connect
1. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose (A) and the PCV hose (B). - Throttle Body - Install NOTE: Always use a new throttle body gasket.
- EVAP Canister Purge Valve Connector and EVAP Canister Purge Hose - Connect
- Intake Air Duct - Install
1. Install the intake air duct. NOTE: When you tighten the band, refer to the throttle body removal and installation procedure .
2. Connect the breather pipe (A). - Air Cleaner - Install
- Injector Control Module - Install
- After Install - Check
1. After installing, check that all tubes, hoses, and connectors are installed correctly.
