Keyless/Power Door Locks/Security System Description - Overview (2013-15)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Acura RDX, 2015 Acura RDX, 2014 Acura RDX, and 2013 Acura RDX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Security Alarm

The security alarm system is armed automatically after the doors, hood, and tailgate are closed and locked. For the system to arm, the vehicle must be in the OFF (LOCK) mode, the key must be removed from the ignition switch, and the MICU must receive signals that the doors, hood, and tailgate are closed and locked. The alarm can be disarmed at any time by pressing the UNLOCK button on the transmitter.

Keyless, Power Door Locks System

Locking and unlocking of the doors and tailgate are controlled by the MICU after it receives the signals from the switches and the B-CAN. The MICU also performs the door lock control, anti-lockout and keyless door lock control.
