Intake Manifold Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:  Refer to the Exploded View if needed during this procedure.

1. Injector Control Module - Remove

   Remove the injector control module .

2. Air Cleaner - Remove

   Remove the air cleaner .

3. Intake Air Duct - Remove

   1. Disconnect the breather pipe (A). 2. Remove the intake air duct (B).

4. Throttle Body - Remove

   1. Disconnect the throttle body connector (A), the EVAP canister purge valve connector (B), the MAP sensor connector (C), and the EVAP purge hose (D). 2. Remove the throttle body (E) without disconnecting the water bypass hoses (F).

5. PCV Hose and Brake Booster Vacuum Hoses - Disconnect

   Disconnect the PCV hose (A) and the brake booster vacuum hose (B).

6. Upper Cover - Remove

   1. Remove the upper cover mounting bolts and nuts sequentially in three steps. 2. Remove the upper cover (A).

7. Intake Manifold - Remove

   1. Remove the intake manifold mounting bolts and nuts sequentially in three steps. 2. Remove the intake manifold.

8. Intake Manifold Base - Remove

   1. Remove the intake manifold base mounting bolts and nuts sequentially in three steps. 2. Remove the intake manifold base.
