Warm Up TWC Removal And Installation (2014 2015 2016 2017): Installation

Front Bank (Bank 2) 

1. WU-TWC Cover - Install

   Install the WU-TWC covers (A) on the front WU-TWC.

2. Front WU-TWC - Install

   1. Carefully install the front WU-TWC (A) assembly with a new gasket (B) and new self-locking nuts (C). 2. Install the No. 5 cylinder ignition coil (D), then connect the No. 5 cylinder ignition coil connector (E). 3. Install the spark plug heat insulator (F).

3. A/C Condenser Fan Shroud Assembly - Install

   Install the A/C condenser fan shroud assembly .

4. Front A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) - Install

   Install the front A/F sensor (Sensor 1) .

5. EGR Pipe - Install

   Install the EGR pipe .

6. Engine Cover - Install

   Install the engine cover .

7. Front WU-TWC Bracket - Tighten

   1. Loosely tighten the front WU-TWC bracket bolts (A) and (B) until the bracket (C) and the bolts are seated. 2. Tighten the mounting bolts in the numbered sequence shown.

8. Exhaust Pipe A - Install

   Install exhaust pipe A .

Rear Bank (Bank 1) 

1. WU-TWC Cover - Install

   Install the WU-TWC covers (A) on the rear WU-TWC.

2. Rear WU-TWC - Install

   1. Carefully install the rear WU-TWC (A) assembly with a new gasket (B) and new self-locking nuts (C). 2. Install the harness holder (D). 3. Install the No. 1 cylinder ignition coil (E) and the No. 2 cylinder ignition coil (F), then connect the ignition coil connectors (G). 4. Install the spark plug heat shield (H).

   5. Connect the following connectors. Transmission fluid pressure switch A connector (A) Transmission fluid pressure switch D connector (B) Rocker arm oil control solenoid A (Bank 1) connector (C) Rocker arm oil pressure switch A (Bank 1) connector (D) Rocker arm oil control solenoid B (Bank 1) connector (E) Rocker arm oil pressure switch B (Bank 1) connector (F) EVAP canister purge valve connector (G)

3. Power Steering Heat Shield - Install

   Install the power steering heat shield (A).

4. Rear A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) - Install

   Install the rear A/F sensor (Sensor 1) .

5. Left Cabin Wire Harness Connector - Connect

   Connect the left cabin wire harness connectors (A).

6. Front Strut Brace - Install

   Install the front strut brace .

7. Engine Cover - Install

   Install the engine cover .

8. CKP Sensor Cover and Bracket - Install

   1. Install the bracket (A). 2. Connect the CKP sensor connector (B). 3. Install the CKP sensor cover  .

9. Rear WU-TWC Bracket - Tighten

   1. Loosely tighten the rear WU-TWC bracket mounting bolts (A) until the bracket (B) and the bolts are seated. 2. Tighten the mounting bolts in the numbered sequence shown.

10. Rear Secondary HO2S (Sensor 2) - Install

    Install rear secondary HO2S (Sensor 2) .

11. Exhaust Pipe A - Install

    Install exhaust pipe A .
