DTC P0602: Boot Mode (Programming Error) (A/T)

NOTE: 

• Before you troubleshoot, review the General Troubleshooting Information .
• This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.
• This DTC is indicated when the TCM update procedure is not completed.
• The TCM can be damaged if the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode or the engine is started while updating the TCM.

DTC (A/T)

1. TCM check (update)

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   - 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

   - 3. Update the TCM.

   - 4. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   - 5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   - 6. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   P0602 Boot Mode (Programming Error)

   Is DTC P0602 indicated?

   YES 

   Replace the TCM .

   NO 

   Update is complete.
