DTC (MVCS)
NOTE: If DTC B14AF is stored at the same time as DTC B14A7, troubleshoot DTC B14AF first, then recheck for DTC B14A7.

- DTC check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then the ON mode.
- 4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame B14A7 Rear Camera Image Input Failure Is DTC B14A7 indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Open wire check (RR CAM VCC, RR CAM RC GND, RR CAM VID, RR CAM SH lines)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Rear view camera 6P connector Multi view camera unit connector B (24P) - 3. Check for continuity between the rear view camera 6P connector terminal and the multi view camera unit connector B (24P) terminal (see table).
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Rear view camera 6P connector: disconnected Multi view camera unit connector B (24P): disconnected Test Circuit Rear View Camera 6P Connector Terminal: Multi View Camera Unit Connector B (24P) Terminal RR CAM VCC No. 3 No. 4 RR CAM RC GND No. 4 No. 16 RR CAM VID No. 1 No. 3 RR CAM SH No. 2 No. 15 Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the front camera and the multi view camera unit.
- Multi view camera unit check
-1. Reconnect the following connector.
Multi view camera unit connector B (24P) - 2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 3. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the multi view camera unit connector B (24P).
Test condition ON mode Rear view camera 6P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Multi view camera unit connector B (24P) No. 4 Test point 2 Body ground Is there 5.7-6.5 V?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
- Shorted wire check (RR CAM VCC line) 1
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition ON mode Rear view camera 6P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Rear view camera 6P connector No. 3: Test point 2 Body ground Is there 5.7-6.5 V?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Repair a short in the wires between the rear view camera and the multi view camera unit.
- Shorted wire check (RR CAM VID line) 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Multi view camera unit connector B (24P) - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Rear view camera 12P connector: disconnected Multi view camera unit connector B (24P): disconnected Test point 1 Multi view camera unit connector B (24P) No. 3 Test point 2 Multi view camera unit connector B (24P) No. 15 Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short in the wires between the rear view camera and the multi view camera unit.
NO
Go to step 6.
- Shorted wire check (RR CAM VID line) 2
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Rear view camera 12P connector: disconnected Multi view camera unit connector B (24P): disconnected Test circuits Test point 1 Test points 2 RR CAM VID to FR CAM VID, FR CAM VCC, RR CAM VCC, R CAM VID, R CAM VCC, L CAM VID, L CAM VCC, MVC VID
No. 3 No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, No. 7, No. 8, No. 10 Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short in the wires between the appropriate camera and the multi view camera unit.
NO
Go to step 7.
- Rear view camera check
-1. Reconnect the following connectors.
Rear view camera 12P connector Multi view camera unit B 24P connector - 2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 3. Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.
NOTE: Check the DTC B14A6 is not stored with the HDS.
Terminal A Multi view camera unit B 24P connector No. 1 Terminal B Multi view camera unit B 24P connector No. 3 Does the front camera image appear at the rear camera image on the display?
YES
Replace the rear view camera .
NO
