IAT Sensor 1 Functional Inspection

Preconditions 

• Engine is cold condition (ambient temperature)

Test Procedure 

• Procedure
  • Record the ambient temperature.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Quickly record the HDS [ IAT Sensor (1) ].
  • Compare the HDS [ IAT Sensor (1) ] value to the recorded ambient temperature.

• Normal Conditions
  • The difference between the HDS [ IAT Sensor (1) ] value and the ambient temperature is less than 5.4 deg.F (3 deg.C  ).

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with MAF sensor/IAT sensor 1.
