Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) System Description - Control/Function: Operation: Notes

The LKAS has following two functions: Lane keep assist and lane departure warning.

The LKAS uses the calculated amount of steering torque to remain in the middle of the driving lane. Whenever the vehicle starts to deviate from the driving lane, a lane deviation alarm activates to warn the driver.
